Jazz Festival in Wales UK
April 24th 2011
For the last few years there has been a successful Jazz Festival held in Porthcawl South Wales, this year it fell on Easter
amidst glorious sunshine. Easter visitors to the south Wales resort of Porthcawl are being greeted by the sound of Jazz.
Wayne Warlow, director of the Porthcawl International Jazz Festival, told Gilbert John it was the first time the annual event
had coincided with the Easter holiday. Buddy Greco and Jacqui Dankworth are among this year's attractions, along with a
special jazz service for Easter Sunday.
Iím confident we have the best Jazz line up in Porthcawl to date, with the right mix of ingredients for our 2011 International Festival.
Featuring the fabulous Buddy Greco and Miss Lezlie Anders.
With internationally acclaimed trombonist Jiggs Whigham.
Jazz vocalists donít come much better than Jacqui Dankworth with her award winning musicians.
Also featuring the highly talented National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
The outstanding Geoff Eales Trio.
B D Lenz - hailed as one of the top 20 'up and coming' best US jazz guitarists.
